Employment Type:Full timeShift:Description:Responsible for
providing overall leadership to achieve philanthropic fundraising
goals and objectives of St. Mary's Health Care System. Responsible
for the strategic implementation of the organization's
philanthropic programs, administration, and resource development
for all entities under the St. Mary's Health Care System umbrella,
including St. Mary's Foundation, Inc. and St. Mary's Good Samaritan
Foundation.Creates and implements an annual fundraising plan
designed to achieve corporate goals. Oversees the development of
policies and procedures; annual, capital and planned giving
campaigns, cultivation and stewardship events and the management of
the donor database and donor communication programs to achieve
fundraising objectives. Manages the Foundation budget and the
development of fundraising financial reports. Leads the expansion
of major gifts, planned giving, and grateful patient programs as
major pillars in the philanthropy program. Establishes and
maintains effective relationships with other foundations, donor
prospects, health care providers, physicians, business and
community leaders to promote public support and awareness of the
St. Mary's Foundation. Participates in employee, donor and board
member communications and development. Establishes appropriate and
tasteful recognition programs. Works closely with System Leadership
including Senior Management, Marketing/Public Relations and
Finance. Partners with President/CEO and Foundation Chairs to lead
Board and Committee meetings for St. Mary's Foundation and St.
Mary's Good Samaritan Foundation.Participates fully with the
Trinity Philanthropic initiatives.Attends events sponsored by St.
Mary's and community events to assureappropriate representation by
St. Mary's Foundation and the System.Position
Requirements:Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/AEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Masters in Nonprofit
Administration or similar field preferred. Certified Fund Raising
Executive (CFRE) designation preferred.Experience: Must have a
minimum of 5 years' experience in nonprofit fund development and
three years managing teams, with a preference for experience in
nonprofit healthcare.Special Qualifications: Strong organizational,
customer service, productivity and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and garner major gift
fundraising. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with, project management and public relations. Must be
credible, trustworthy and committed. Skilled in written and verbal
communications necessary to prepare and make presentations and
deliver accurate reports. Knowledge and compliance with the Better
Business Bureau Standards of Charitable Solicitations. Professional
demeanor and appearance. Always acting as a representative of the
mission during and outside official work hours.Degree of
Supervision Required: Indirect, general and periodic supervision.
