Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years; Unit accepts first-time travelers License: Valid GA or Compact license required at submission Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic skills with the ability to scrub; Heart Transplant experience is highly preferred. Job Description: - Pre-Screen Unit: Candidate will be reviewed to determine clinical fit.- Manager interview required if candidate passes clinical review within guidelines.- Work with adult to geriatric patients in the CVOR.- Must be comfortable with Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR systems.- Schedule requirements include a maximum of 7 days off, with no block or self-scheduling.- Weekend rotation and variable call requirements, typically one weekday call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks.- Expected to work major holidays if one or more fall during the assignment period.- Scrubs provided.- Full compliance required to start on time; if compliance is delayed, start date may be pushed back by two weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.- Compliance Document Deadline is the Tuesday prior to the start date.- References: Two supervisory references are highly preferred; must be from a manager or above, not charge.- Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure on-time start.
