DescriptionSurgical TechnologistPiedmont Henry - Main ORThree 12-hour shifts - Varied weekdaysResponsible ForFacilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED.Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.Minimum Experience RequiredSurgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.Neuro, Spine, Robotics, Ortho, Gen/Gyn, Urology, and Vascular experience preferredMinimum Licensure/Certification Required By LawCurrent GA LPN License if applicable.Additional QualificationsCertification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.BLS certification required.
