  • PRE-SCREEN UNIT: Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit accepts first time travelers
  • PATIENT POPULATION: Adolescents - Geriatrics - Echo Tech - We perform TEE, stress echo, and complete TTE with use of Lumason contrast, 3D and Strain on inpatient, ICU patients, and outpatients. Our Sonographers have a great rapport with our cardiologists and enter preliminary reports. We support the organ recovery center (ORC), the largest organ recovery center in the southeast and Shepherds Spine Center. We perform a substantial amount of structural echos including TAVRs, Mitral Clips, MVRs, TVRs, ASD closures and scan patients with devices such as LVAD, Impella and ECMO.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, Phillips, Siemens
  • REQUIRED SKILLS: BLS, RDVS-Adult/RCS, 3D Echo, Bubble study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Experience with portable studies, & RVOT/RIT
  • PREFERRED SKILLS: ARRT - Sonography, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echo, & Syngo dynamics

    • COMPLIANCE: FULL compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

      • RTO: MAX 7 days
      • SCRUBS: Red/Black in combination
      • CALL REQUIREMENTS: 1 week of call twice during 13-week contract
      • HOLIDAYS: Work on major holidays if occurring within assignment period - Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
